Avery's ears...

I keep forgetting to write this post. About a month ago I took my kids to the mall and while we were there I asked Emily if she wanted to get her ears pierced, she always talks about it. She said she wanted to wait to get them pierced until her birthday but she wanted to pick the earings out that she wanted. So we made our way over to the piercing pagoda in South Towne Mall where she did pick the ones she wants to have. I noticed Avery looking quite interested so I asked her if she wanted to get her ears pierced, she responded with YES!! I was SHOCKED! I thought for sure she would say NO since Emily was so resistant to it. I asked her numerous times, told her it was going to hurt and she still wanted them. So she picked her pink earings out and climbed into the chair where again I reminded her it was going to hurt. And she still wanted them. So they did the little ink dot on her ears and two women pierced my little two year olds ears. She was so brave and cute!! After the piercing she did cry. I picked her up and held her, comforted her and told her how much I love her. I also told her what a big girl she was and how pretty her earings were. She wanted to see her earings in a mirror so they gave Avery one and she said they were pretty and the tears stopped then the women working gave all of my girls a sucker. I can't believe my baby Avery is such a daring girl!! The rest of the day Emily was kind of obsessed with Avery, she wants them so bad. She is just to scared. She kept referring to Avery as the ear pierced girl and when I put Avery to bed that night Avery said "can you say goodnight ear pierced girl"? I love that little sweetie!!
